Wordbooks

Last week I made a wordbook for French friends who lived the Netherlands (or as we call it in Dutch: Nederland) for a couple of years. They moved back home this week and I thought it would be nice to make them a wordbook filled with things we'll remember them by. They absolutely loved it!
This is how is turned out.

And this was the first wordbook I made. I made that one for my sons closest friend who left daycare because he turned 4 and started school. A couple of day later I got an email from his mom, telling me how much she liked this recap of their 2 years of friendship. FYI "vrienden" means "friends".
I learned how to make a wordbook in inkscape from this tutorial: http://mycricutscrapbooking.com/how-to-make-a-word-book-in-inkscape/
From making this book I learned that the contrast between the background and the letter should me higher.
I used cardstock from DCWV's glitter stack for the letters.

I really like making wordbooks, so I'm pretty sure I'll be doing more of these in the future.
If you would like the SCAL files, just send a request by e-mail.
Have a great week!
